From the Paul Roos Gymnasium Stigting

A quiet way for the Paul Roos family to look after their homes, and the boys who will follow them through the school.

An invitation from the Stigting

Paul Roos has always been more than a school. It is a community of Oud-Paul Rooërs, current parents, and families who have sent their boys to Stellenbosch for more than a century and a half.

We have arranged with CleanMyBed, the medical-grade mattress sanitising service, to offer this community a preferred rate. Every booking through this page also contributes to the bursary funds that allow boys from disadvantaged backgrounds to wear the maroon.

About the Stigting

The Paul Roos Gymnasium Stigting is the umbrella foundation that holds the school's bursary work. Beneath it sit six funds, among them the Gideon Roos Beursfonds, the Paul Roos 150 Trustfonds, Het Jan Marais Nationale Fonds, KLUB1000, and the Remgro Stella Foundation.

Their shared purpose is simple: to make a Paul Roos education available to talented boys whose families could not otherwise afford it, on the strength of their character and promise rather than the depth of their family's means.

On a March morning in 2002, Nelson Mandela opened the Paul Roos Centre at the school. He called Paul Roos 'a place that prepares leaders'. The Stigting's bursary work is how the school keeps that promise, year after year, boy after boy.
