An invitation from the Foundation

The Rohan Bloom Foundation was born from one family's loss, and a determination that no other family should face the same without support. It is building Rohan House, the first specialised paediatric palliative care in-patient hospice in Cape Town.

We have arranged with CleanMyBed, the medical-grade mattress sanitising service, to offer our supporters a preferred rate. Every booking through this page also contributes to the Foundation's work.

About the Foundation

The Rohan Bloom Foundation is a registered Public Benefit Organisation, founded in memory of Rohan Bloom, a young sportsman and much-loved son who died of cancer. In his final months, his family found there was no children's hospice able to provide the palliative care he needed.

The Foundation is building Rohan House, a specialised paediatric palliative care in-patient hospice offering expert symptom management, respite care and terminal care, while caring for the whole child, body, mind and spirit, with room for play, human touch and family. The families alongside them are supported too.

Working with Paedspal, Rohan House forms part of a wider vision: a Paediatric Palliative Care Research and Training Centre of Excellence to serve children across Africa.

    Ten percent of every CleanMyBed booking made through this page is paid to the Rohan Bloom Foundation as part of CleanMyBed's monthly settlement, supporting the building of Rohan House.

    Your CleanMyBed booking is a commercial transaction and CleanMyBed does not issue tax receipts. The Rohan Bloom Foundation is a registered Public Benefit Organisation, so questions about donating to it directly and any tax certificates are best directed to the Foundation.
