Northwood is a government school, and like many it leans on the support of its community, its Old Boys, Knights and Squires, to do more for its boys than the state alone provides.

About Support a Squire

Support a Squire exists to bring boys of outstanding ability and character to Northwood, boys who would not otherwise have the chance, and to give them a quality secondary education across academics, sport and culture.

A good secondary education is the first stepping stone to a tertiary one. Learners considered for these scholarships come from across the broader South African community and neighbouring countries, ready to give their best in the classroom and on the field. Contributions are held in the school's Trust, and supporters can follow the progress of those they help.

It is a long-term investment in one young person at a time, in keeping with Northwood's ethos: acquit ye like men, and be true to yourself.

    No. The preferred rate is open to the wider Northwood community, including Old Boys, current and past parents, staff, and anyone the school wishes to share it with.
