About Janine and the MENstruation Foundation

Janine Binneman is a Cape Town jewellery designer who has spent close to three decades creating ethically sourced, handcrafted pieces with meaning. Her studio is woman-owned, eco-conscious and quietly purposeful.

The cause she is championing here is the MENstruation Foundation, a registered South African non-profit working to end period poverty. Through its sanitary-pad dispensing project it makes menstrual products freely and discreetly available in schools, so that no girl misses class for the want of something so basic.
