A quiet way for the Grey community to look after their homes, and to help secure the school's future for the boys still to come.

The Grey Foundation has arranged a preferred CleanMyBed service for Old Greys, current parents, and the wider Grey community. A share of every booking comes back to the Foundation, helping keep the ethos, traditions, and grounds of The Grey intact for the next generation.

An invitation from the Foundation

There is a common misperception that The Grey is a wealthy, privately funded school. The grounds and buildings tell that story, but government funding covers less than half of the academic and support staff, and keeping The Grey at its best takes real and ongoing support.

We have arranged with CleanMyBed, the medical-grade mattress sanitising service, to offer the Grey community a preferred rate. Every booking through this page also contributes to the Grey Foundation, the school's fundraising trust.

About the Grey Foundation

The Grey Foundation was established by the Old Greys' Union to give The Grey professional fundraising, management, and marketing support, and to build a lasting fund that generates income for the schools. Its goal is simple: to ensure the ethos, values, traditions, and infrastructure of The Grey remain intact for current and future generations of Grey boys.

The Foundation acts as a single point of contact for donors and channels support into the things government funding does not reach, from infrastructure and technology in the classroom to opportunities for disadvantaged students. Its board draws on the Junior School, the High School, the Old Greys' Union, and independent professionals.

Tria Juncta in Uno, body, mind, and spirit, is the Grey motto, and it is the thread that runs through the Foundation's work: a whole education, secured for the boys still to come.

  • Do I have to be a current Grey parent to use this?

    No. The preferred rate is open to the wider Grey community, including Old Greys, current and past parents, staff, and anyone the Foundation wishes to share it with.

  • How does the contribution work?

    Ten percent of every CleanMyBed booking made through this page is paid to the Grey Foundation as part of CleanMyBed's monthly settlement, supporting the school.

  • Is the service identical to a standard CleanMyBed booking?

    Yes. Same trained operators, same medical-grade equipment, same dry process, same digital certificate. The collaboration changes how the booking value is distributed, not the service you receive.

  • Where does CleanMyBed operate?

    Across a growing list of South African territories. The Grey community reaches well beyond Gqeberha, and the booking page will confirm availability in your area before you commit.

  • Is my contribution tax-deductible?

    Your CleanMyBed booking is a commercial transaction and CleanMyBed does not issue tax receipts. The Grey Foundation Trust can issue tax certificates for donations made to it directly, so questions about that are best directed to the Foundation.
